From its inception, Meadow Lane Stitching® has been inspired by love and family. Crystal's mother, Beth, began teaching her to quilt 30 years ago in a little house with a pink door located in the mountains of Colorado on a street named Meadow Lane. Beth's tutelage sparked Crystal's life-long passion for crafting. Though she experimented with everything from dressmaking to counted cross stitch, Crystal's favorite pastimes are all forms of hand embroidery & quilting.
Crystal met Dylan in 2015 and they soon launched Meadow Lane Stitching® as a small pattern business. With Dylan's encouragment, Crystal left her corporate job in 2017 to pursue Meadow Lane Stitching® full-time, and it wasn't long before they added the longarm ("Rosie") to the business. Since Rosie joined the business, Dylan has been learning all about longarms and quilting, and he has even become an excellent bobbin-changer and tension-checker.
In 2020, Crystal and Dylan recognized the need for a dedicated handwork supply shoppe in Northern Colorado and opened Meadow Lane Stitching® Shoppe to sell supplies for hand embroidery, wool appliqué, and sashiko. Crystal runs the day-to-day operations of the shoppe, designs patterns, meets with longarm customers, and does the majority of longarm quilting. Dylan assists with longarm quilting, maintains Rosie, offers input on patterns & shoppe business, and makes improvements at the shoppe.
Crystal's creativity and drive keep the business moving forward and expanding in new and exciting ways, while Dylan's unwavering support and hard work are at the heart of Meadow Lane Stitching's® success, but they couldn't do it without wonderful stitchers like you. From our family to yours, thank you for supporting our small business!
