Longarm quilting Changes 2022

It's official, we've expanded the family part of our family business!!! Crystal has been taking an extra-long maternity leave to attend to our new #1 priority and is currently planning to return gradually in March 2022.

In order to maintain a healthy work-family balance, we're implementing the following changes to our longarm policies:

  • We are not currently accepting new clients
  • Custom and Heirloom quilting is currently unavailable
  • Existing clients may provide one quilt at a time
  • We no longer offer binding services
  • Pricing changes for 2022 (see below)

About longarm quilting services

High Quality & Attention to Detail

Meadow Lane Stitching is excited to offer longarm quilting services. Whether it's destined to be a cherished wedding gift or a quilt you whipped up to keep in the car for road trips, you put a lot of faith in us when you trust us with your quilt. That's why each and every quilt we receive is treated with the respect your hard work deserves using our best practices:

  • Every quilt is fully basted before quilting. The basting process is the gold standard in longarm quilting to ensure the best & flattest results.
  • Off-square backing is precisely trimmed and squared up prior to loading on the longarm frame. This important step helps prevent warping or stretching due to bias or uneven raw edges on the quilt back.
  • Loose threads poking through the quilt top are trimmed with care using curved blunt-tip scissors to protect your quilt top.
  • All threads from bobbin changes are tied off and knotted before being securely hand-buried in the quilt sandwich for consistent and strong quilting.

Batting & backing assembly included in e2e price

Get your choice of our high-quality batting at no extra cost. We offer batting in a variety of fibers and blends from trusted brands because your beautiful quilt deserves quality materials inside & out. Simple backing assembly (up to 3 seams of any size) is also included at no extra cost, you just provide the yardage when you bring in your quilt top. Not sure how much yardage you need? Call us with your quilt measurements and we'll calculate it for you.

Complimentary Batting Choices

You may supply your own batting or choose one of our high quality batting options to use in your quilt for no additional charge.

Luna Loft 80/20 Cotton/Polyester

Soft  and  strong,  this  batting  is  a  great option for a little higher loft or more warmth than 100% cotton

Luna Kyoto 50/50 Bamboo/Cotton

The lightness and sustainability of bamboo meet the comfort  of cotton. Low loft and super soft, this is our most  popular  batting!   Available  for  king  size.

Hobbs Heirloom 100% Cotton

Strong and soft, this batting is a great choice for lower loft or quilters who are not fans of the bamboo blend.

Luna Loft 80/20 Cotton/Polyester Black

For quilts with black backgrounds, this batting doesn't dull the black fabric, and it helps the colors pop. Plus, your quilt won't shed white fibers onto the dark fabric when washed!

Winline 100% Bamboo

Bamboo is a sustainable material with antimicrobial properties. This batting is breathable, ultra soft, and can be quilted much  more densely without becoming stiff!  Ask about availability  for  king  size.

NOTE: Charges may vary based on actual work performed. An estimate will be provided prior to starting your quilt.
